Somfy Alarm Night mode works by setting the system to monitor for security breaches while you sleep. In this mode, the alarm system activates certain sensors and devices to detect movement or unauthorized entry. Typically, night mode disables or changes the sensitivity of certain sensors to prevent false alarms from everyday activities, such as pets moving around the house. The system usually sends alerts or notifications to your phone if suspicious activity is detected in night mode.
To configure your somfy alarm, first download the Somfy Protect or Somfy Tahoma app, depending on your system. Follow the instructions to create an account and associate your alarm system with your home network. Then add and configure your sensors and devices through the app. This includes setting up and testing motion detectors, door/window sensors and cameras. Once all components are installed and connected, you can customize settings, such as alarm modes and notification preferences, to meet your security needs.
To deactivate a Somfy motion detector, go to the Somfy Protect or Tahoma app where your system is configured. Locate the motion sensor you want to disable in the app’s device list. Depending on the system, you can either temporarily disable the detector or adjust its settings to reduce sensitivity. In some cases, you may need to physically disable the device by turning it off or removing its batteries, although this is less common and usually done only for maintenance purposes.
The Somfy badge, often called a FOB or key fob, works by sending a wireless signal to the somfy alarm system to arm or disarm it. It usually includes buttons for various functions, such as turning the alarm on or off, and may have additional functionality like a panic button. The badge communicates with the alarm system using radio frequencies, allowing users to control the system remotely without needing to use the app or central hub.
Verisure Night mode works similarly to night modes in other alarm systems. It configures the system to activate certain sensors and features while reducing the risk of false alarms during the night. In this mode, motion detectors are often set to a higher sensitivity to detect any movement, and the system can send immediate alerts if suspicious activity is detected. Verisure’s Night Mode ensures the home remains secure while minimizing disruption caused by normal nighttime activities.
